Manuscripts should be sent by email to the managing editor at editor@belgianactuarialbulletin.be. If there are more than two authors, a corresponding author has to be specified. The corresponding author provides the managing editor with an email address; receipt of the paper and further correspondence will be made via electronic messages.
Copyright
A manuscript is accepted for review with the understanding that its submission for publication has been approved by all the authors and by the institutions where the work has been carried out. It is the responsibility of the authors of a paper to clear copyright matters with the relevant parties. The publication of a paper in the transactions of a conference, or the distribution of a paper by the authors, will not generally preclude it from being considered as an original paper. If, however, any part of a paper submitted for publication has been published elsewhere, this should be brought to the attention of the editors. Further, any person cited as a source of personal communication has approved such citation. Finally, any data used by the authors for illustration purposes may be reproduced in the BAB. The editors do not accept responsibility for damage or loss of papers submitted. A paper may be submitted to the editors by any author or group of authors, regardless of whether they are members of the Belgian Actuarial Society.
Language
Papers should preferably be written in English, in order to ensure the widest dissemination of the ideas. Manuscripts in French or Dutch can also be considered for publication if an English summary of 200-300 words is also supplied. Authors are solely responsible for their written language. Should one of the editors judge a paper to be linguistically unacceptable, the author is responsible for its revision prior to acceptance for publication.
Literature review
Authors must review the existing literature in order to place their work in a proper context.
Accepted papers
The source files of the paper, taking into account the referee's comments, should be submitted by email to the managing editor at editor@belgianactuarialbulletin.be. Authors should use the correct style and lay-out which can be found in bab-art.cls (for LaTeX2e) and in bab-art.dot (for MS Word). A template file bab.tex is provided to demonstrate how to use the LaTeX class. LaTeX(2e) and MS Word are the only accepted formats. In case of LaTeX source, please include all additional files, such as EPS figures, (non-standard) style files, BibTeX files, etc. In case of MS Word format, please include all EPS figures as separate files. No deviations from the version accepted by the editors are permissible without the prior and explicit approval by the editors.
